Easily the best race report I've read here (and the best I think I've ever read) was Pat Gallagher's on the Subaru Primal Quest.

Our spirits were a bit lagging, being passed and wrestling with the boat that ALWAYS wanted to turn right, so Justin thought it would be fun for us to talk like pirates.

“Ahoy Maties!” “Shiver me timbers!”
Scooter was having none of it, in a bit of agony over an old shoulder injury, and the other teams mostly tried to get away from us asap. However, this didn’t deter Justin, and I joined in with my parrot imitation (which I think is GREAT, but it didn’t draw rave reviews from my teammates)

I think the Royers may have an Editor's Choice pick from me. This feature from the back of the pack makes it clear just how competitive every team is in a race. But moreso, it exemplifies the best in couples communicating well and enjoying themselves.

Once we got moving again we finished the hike a bike, rode down a steep hill and up the other side to CP9. Just as we got to the CP there they were again…the coed team…they were back! We looked at each other in disbelief. Who are these guys? We felt like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid!!

My stomach is still hurting over the story of the attack of the croquet-players. Who plays capture-the-flag with someone who doesn't even know they're playing the game? You poor bastards! So far one of my favorite stories. Next to my BAAR Brawl skunk story of course

Team Cyclepath’s report on Cal Eco Kernville 2006 was definitely among the best I’ve seen. What brought it home for me was that it was a report by _team_ Cyclepath, not merely individual members. I hope in the future other teams will start letting their whole group participate in the debrief...
