southwest Wisconsin is now open.

We learned a great deal from the last two years races. We again will
incorporate into this years race, the thoughts and suggestions that were
made to us by last two years teams.

And of course we kept the best parts that everyone loved. Even the
after race dinner party is still here! Not just a spaghetti dinner or
Corn Boil, BUT REAL FOOD. Like Roast Beef, Chicken, lasagna, many
veggies, and of course a salad bar. All of course, all you can eat! And
at a real restaurant, not at a campsite or at the finish line but at the
Don Q Inn, One of the best places in the area for fully catered parties!
This place is soo busy we had to reserve it even before we knew we had a
race for this year way back in December ($500 buck deposit!) Ouch! The
place is super cool!

Of course we will supply you with a Canoe(s) for the race. They will be
here and ready for your use at the needed location. We here at Wisconsin
Adventure Racing won't make you rent at your cost and trouble a canoe
from someone around here! How Lame! You have enough to worry about not
to add another possible problem like finding a Canoe to rent! Of course,

we will again allow you to bring and use your own Canoe or Kayak!

As we sated at last years race meeting, "This is YOUR race teams, You
tell us what you like to see in a race, and what you would not like, and
we will try our best to have those suggestions in the next race". Always
remember that!

What's in the Driftless Zone Adventure Race? How about some:

Swimming

There will be many water crossings. Mostly small creeks and streams.
But there is one longer water trek that is about a quarter mile long.

How about one of our fantastic sponsors! E-Caps/HammerGel Everyone gets
some samples of their fantastic products. As well as we will have some
larger products of theirs to give away at the after race party. You can
also through us at Wisconsin Adventure Racing get a 15% discount on your
first order by going to this address,

Cool Huh?

How about some Biking

The trails are still gone. And the route you choose to take is still
totally up to you. Best part is, you better have your thinking caps on.
And be good with maps to figure your best route. In the biking portion
of the race this year will mostly be along back country roads. With
literally dozens of different routes you could have gone by.

MOOSEJAW! Yeah baby one of the coolest companies out there for
Adventure racing clothing, gear, and supplies. They will again this year
be giving way prizes, and discounts on products! Soo way cool, They
just love Adventure Racers! They REALLY DO! Be sure to check out
Checkpoint 19 gear! very cool!!

How about some Running, Trekking, and for a lot of you walking! Or in
other words NAVIGATION!

The on foot course is very similar to last years course. Again we are
glad to say, THE TRAILS ARE STILL GONE! One minute you could be walking
along a nice deer trail, or even an old deserted gravel road, and ten
minutes from now you may be bushwhacking through an overgrown swamp or
dense woods! Don't forget about the "Highly Recommended, But not
mandatory Equipment List" this year it is just as important as last
year! We all remember this from last year don't we?

Heres a new sponsor to us here, Triathlon Bag, a Multisport Bag
Company, not your ordinary backpack! Triathlon Bag designed by Dean
Anthony Theodore designs all the Multisport Bags and has earned the
utmost respect from his customers for his innovative designs, customer
services, and durable Multisport Bag. Teams that sign up for the race
get a 10% discount on anything they order! Plus prizes too!

Of course we got to have Canoeing, Kayaking, (paddling)

Again you will be allowed to use your own Canoe or Kayak. Or Use one of
ours. But be sure to reserve yours early. We only have a limited supply,
and they are reserved on a first come first reserved basis on teams that
enter and have all fee's paid in full.

This is a river course only. But not the river we have played in the
first two years. This one actually has some water in it!

A Driftless Zone Adventure Race wouldn't be a Wisconsin Adventure
Racing, race without the fantastic cliffs we develop for the race!

Rappelling, AKA "Ropes Section"

We have a new incredible cliff and rappel site for you this year! As
well as a totally new ropes staff to man it for you this year. These
guys are in the climbing business.

About this new cliff. We know we said in years past that, "There is NO
WAY We can beat that site in this area". A 170 foot tall cliff is hard
to beat!

Well, we were wrong. We again have discovered a new cliff (private
property again so it hasn't been used for any other race or climbing at
all) But we have gained permission to use it in the race! This new cliff
is soo cool!

It's just as cool as Adventure Sports Magazine! Everyone gets a free
sample issue, and also some lucky (or skilled teams) get free gift
subscriptions too!

http://www.asmagazine.com/subscribe

And for those of you afraid of heights, not to worry. We have in the
course a By-Pass constructed for those that choose not to do the rappel.

And Some Mystery Events, You Won't Know Till You Get There!

Of course everyone as always gets a free official Driftless Zone T
Shirt. Like Duh? And all the food ya can eat afterwards as well as
prizes and free and discounted race entries!

Hey don't forget,, you can even do these races for free. Check out the
links about doing the races for no cost to you at all.
Yes you can race for free!
