DINO XTERRA Off-Road Triathlon - IN - July 2004

On July 24th, DINO hosted in Logansport the only XTERRA off-road triathlon held in Indiana -- the DINO Adventure Triathlon. The format was the usual one for XTERRA events: .5 mile swim, 10 miles mountain bike, 4 miles trail run. A race report has been posted on the XTERRA site, and results area available from DINO for both the triathlon and the kayak division (which substituted kayaking for swimming).

...Straight out of box, the riders were met with a three-quarter mile root & rock fest! The coolest thing about this section of uphill single-track trail is that it pops you out on top of the highest wall of the old quarry. The view was awesome! Sightseeing was short lived as moments later you dropped down the back of the rock via a short, nearly vertical loose-dirt descent...
